4-Stage Chemical Wash

Nexus's Rohner Manual Power Wash Enclosure provides a complete containment solution to ensure quality finishing. Our wash enclosure protects the environment from harsh cleaning chemicals that are crucial for prepping your material, ensuring it is ready for coating. Our closed-loop system ensures Nexus is a zero-discharge facility.
Degreaser (Stage 1)
This preparation step is crucial as it ensures that the metal surface is free from contaminants such as oils, grease, and other residues that could impair the adhesion and quality of the powder coating.
Iron Phosphate Wash (Stage 2)
Iron phosphate preparation is essential for powder coating because it improves adhesion by creating a clean, receptive surface on metal substrates. This process removes contaminants and forms a crystalline structure that enhances the bond between the substrate and the powder coating.
pH Adjuster (Stage 3)
A pH adjuster is used after spraying with iron phosphate to neutralize any remaining acidic or alkaline residues on the metal surface. This step ensures that the surface pH is optimal for the adhesion and performance of the subsequent powder coating.
Deionized Water Wash (Stage 4)
Deionized water, purified to remove mineral ions through a process called deionization, ensures the substrate is thoroughly cleaned and free from contaminants. This step is crucial for preparing the surface to receive the powder coating, maintaining high purity to prevent any potential for contamination.
